Ok, that’s not the only reason why – I’ve been in Scotland visiting ChenChen, and I’ve been working as always – and I think that’s about it.
For about a week or so I’ve wanted to write a post about what foreign girls think about Asian men. Because if you were to ask me “what do you think about Asian men” I think the answer would be quite obvious as my 老公 is Chinese and I love the Chinese culture. I did a lot of research online but most of the answers are things such as:
“The cultural difference is a problem.”
“I can’t handle a Long distance relationship”
“They might be too nerdy and different from my lifestyle”
“What do you know about Asian guys?”
“Well, they are very smart” Thankfully, my bestfriend explained to them why they are so “smart” and explained that it is just the way that they have been raised and that they are not nerds! 😀
So please take a look here if you think they are nerdy, because they are really not 🙂
Well, I asked my lovely Mexican friend, and her roommates that I have never met – poor girls, just suddenly get a whole bunch of questions thrown at them haha. I feel like the “haha” should be written like “mwahaha” to make it sound more evil, but I’m not evil so NO.
So my so-called interview went a little like this: “What’s your opinion about Asian men?”
And they all answered something like “I think they are nice and very different from guys from our country” and my best friend who lived in Beijing at the same time as me answered almost the same she just made it sound a bit more like an interview
“I would go out with an Asian guy, because they are different from the guys in our country, and especially as a lot of my bestfriends (guys) are Asian I already know how they are, and if I ended up dating an Asian guy I think that he would be a good boyfriend”
Here is what they said when I asked them about their impression of Asian guys~

One of the girls I “interviewed” had a funny comment “Although I have to admit that I’m a little scared of Asian guys because we always see these possessed Asian kids in movies, and that really scares me” HAHA. That really made me laugh my ass off. I love the cute Japanese boys in scary movies.. Their eyes are so adorable! haha.
Here is what they think would be the advantages and disadvantages if they were to date an Asian guy;
Advantages~
♥Could share your traditions
♥Learn about the other persons culture
♥Learn a new language
♥Become more international
♥Make more friends from his country
Disadvantages~
♥Could have problems not understanding each other’s traditions and culture
♥Language problems
♥Time difference
My friend used a really good example to describe what she means by different traditions “In Mexico we are very “Warm” and we always greet each other with either hugs or kisses on the cheek, someone from China or another Asian country might not do that and they would find it weird or even uncomfortable”

“Although I have not dated an Asian guy before, and I don’t know that many I would still love to date one just for the experience, and who knows? Maybe it could be like a match made in heaven, I think that once you face the culture difference and your able to get through that then it is up to you whether it would be a relationship that you would want to keep or not”
“I think that if the guy grew up in a Western country he would have a better understanding of my culture and it would make a AMWF relationship way easier”
“My worries would be that he would not understand my culture and where I’m coming from and it would make the relationship difficult”
“I would love to date a guy who looks like the guys in Korean TV dramas”
“Imagine he knew Kung Fu! That would be so cool, I would have my own Bruce Lee”
“I think that a AMWF relationship could be just like dating a guy from my own country, you just have to adjust the relationship and share out culture and traditions with each other, I would love to be in a relationship like that, it would be fun. Besides, asian guys are super handsome!”

I’m just upset that most of the girls asked those questions by Asian they mean Korean/Japanese/sometimes Chinese but forget about Vietnamese, Filipinos etc.
for me I love Asian men since I was a child – too bad at that time they were only animated, haha but it had a huge influence on my interest 🙂
Yeah, when they think about “Asians” they think – Japanese, Chinese / HK, Korea (South). I totally agree with you, it’s a shame.. I asked them what about Thai, and one of them answered Thailand is not in Asia >.<

ah I don’t have general thoughts about Asians, as I have met some really bad asian guys and on the other hand I met my husband and I love him so much 😉
in every nation you can meet variety of different ppl, so I can’t really say that I have some exact opinions about races, countries or whatever.
